What to see in Paris

No matter how surprising it may sound, but it turns out that not everyone loves Paris. According to those who are not a fan of this city, the capital of France is crowded with tourists and immigrants, there is a lot of rubbish in it, and the prices in restaurants and cafes are just space. And yet, the people who each year seek to visit romantic, magical Paris, so well known to us from French films and books, are much more. Practically each of us, even in the depths of his soul, dreams of "seeing Paris and dying." What exactly attracts tourists to this city?

Boulevard Montmartre. Thanks to this place, Paris is recognized as the most romantic city in the world. And once, at the beginning of the 19th century, representatives of a bohemian society, bourgeois, petty adventurers and prostitutes became its inhabitants. It was Montmartre who presented the world with world artists, who at that time were absolutely unknown to anyone - Vincent Van Gogh, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Pablo Picasso and many, many others. Modern Montmartre is a real Mecca for tourists, retaining its touch of adventurism and bohemianism.

Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. This street is traditionally considered to be the main avenue of Paris, originating from the Place de la Concorde, and the end of which is crowned by the world-famous Arc de Triomphe. Traditionally considered a street for parades. In addition, the Champs-Elysées is a place for elite shopping, a collection of the most famous business people of Paris and incredibly beautiful parks.

The Eiffel Tower. Paris will know absolutely everything by the Eiffel Tower. Interestingly, the Eiffel Tower was originally conceived as a temporary structure, and after its construction was perceived by Parisians "in hostility", was considered an ugly spot on the ashes of beautiful Paris. Now it is the most beautiful, most recognizable popular memorable place in the city. Especially in the evening, when twilight descends and lights start to light up on the tower, both tourists and Parisians gather at its foot in order to watch a beautiful light show that lasts only a few minutes, but definitely worth a look.

Notre Dame Cathedral. A magnificent masterpiece of French architecture, not only outside, but inside as well. A magnificent and incredibly harmonious combination of Romanesque and French Gothic. Since the foundation years (1160-1245), only three sockets have been preserved, the rest is already the 18th century. Also preserved are fragments of ancient stained glass windows of the 13th century, and a sculpture on the facades.

Pere Lachaise Cemetery. The most expanded and beautiful resting place of the city. Here the most famous cultural and art workers, military men and politicians, artists, singers found their last refuge.

Paris is very rich in architectural and cultural monuments. It is hard to imagine that Paris was once the "backyard of Europe", where people died thousands of starvation and plague. Time has gone to his advantage.
