Paris is a city of contrasts.
Undoubtedly, one of the most attractive and picturesque countries in the world is France. And for good reason they say that France is a country beloved, for the most part, by women. Of course, this is true, but we can not agree that men do not like France. Nikolai Gogol, Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin, Alexey Tolstoy, Ivan Bunin and many other outstanding Russian writers and artists honored France and wrote their best works here. Today, France attracts tourists with its incredible beauty and luxury. Every year, several million travelers from all over the world visit this magnificent country. Some people go to France to be the first to try out the refined perfume produced by local masters, others dream of seeing the Eiffel tower, others are inspired by novels and dream of finding love here. Many tourists dream of visiting the capital of France — Paris.

Indeed, glittering Paris has long been associated with high art, expensive shops, incomparable French restaurants and an abundance of architectural attractions. The most visited places in Paris are the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysees and Notre-Dame Cathedral, which were built very close to each other, which greatly simplifies the life of tourists. In just two days, you can get around these attractions and go to other, less popular, but not inferior to the above.

So, while staying in Paris, you should definitely visit the Moulin Rouge, which is famous for the dazzling beauty of bright beauties performing here. Be sure to visit Versailles, which was originally a modest house of Louis XIII, and today is one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. It was here that Marie Antoinette of Austria bowed her head before an angry mob, and it was in this Palace that Louis XV died of a terrible illness. Without a doubt, the most poetic place in Paris is Montmartre, which is translated from French as"the hill of the martyrs".

This hill is the highest point in Paris, where you can watch the entire city. Artists and writers were shocked by the beauty and picturesqueness of these places, so they settled here. This area has become a favorite habitat for artists. The most prominent of them are Picasso and Renoir. In the cemetery of Montmartre are buried such famous and outstanding personalities as Dumas, Gauthier, Stendhal and many others. The Invalides, which was built on the initiative of Louis XIV on the very outskirts of Paris, is a shelter for very poor veterans.

The building was built to stop begging and stealing. Concorde square is also of great interest to tourists. In the time of Louis XVI it was called "Revolution Square", because here was erected the guillotine and executed the king and Queen of France, torn to pieces by a close friend of Marie-Antoinette, who refused to betray the Queen, beheaded Madame du Barry — the mistress of the deceased at the time of Louis XV and many other ladies of the court. It is also worth visiting the Lafayette gallery, which has a history of more than 100 years.

For the French, Lafayette is a favorite Department store, and for tourists it is a place where you can enjoy shopping. The gallery houses the most expensive and famous boutiques, not only French, but also Japanese, Italian, English and American. To visit Paris means to visit one of the most mysterious and attractive cities not only in Europe, but also around the world. Paris is a city that has managed to fit history and modernity in a harmonious way.
